Primary pupils from schools in Lincolnshire attended a Sports Hall Athletics Day held at Louth Academy.

The indoor athletics gives pupils between the ages of 4 and 15 years a chance to take part in a wide variety of warm weather activities during the winter months.

Louth Academy Year 9 students acted as guides for the children throughout the athletics. The morning session involved the smaller primary schools, including North Somercotes C of E Primary School, Faldingworth Community Primary School, Willoughton Primary School, Grasby All Saints C of E Primary School, Nettleton Community Primary School, and Middle Rasen Primary School.

In the afternoon it was the turn of pupils from the larger primaries. They included Lacey Gardens Junior Academy, Caistor C of E and Methodist Primary and St Michael's C of E Primary School. The event was organised by Caistor Grammar School.

Martin Brown, Executive Principal of Louth Academy, said: "We were very happy to host this event which brings together the pupils from many of our feeder schools and others for a fun day of activities which also teach coordination skills."
