Holocaust Survivor Gives First Hand Account To History Students

Holocaust survivor, Dr Martin Stern, speaks to Louth Academy History students about his experiences.

Year 10 GCSE History students visited the National Holocaust Centre, where they toured the Holocaust exhibition, the Memorial Gardens and participated in a workshop exploring 'choices'.

In the afternoon, students had the unique opportunity to listen to the testimony of a Holocaust survivor, Dr Martin Stern, and to ask him questions about his story, having survived camps at both Westerbork and Theresienstadt.

This visit to the National Holocaust Centre was an enriching experience that will help to broaden our students’ knowledge of the causes, events and complexities of the Holocaust.
